Anyway, as well as ripping off Justin Lee Collins' catchphrases at an ever-increasing rate, I have been thinking about how to spend this cash that will soon be mine. I have been thinking about it for over a month, and have whittled the list of desires down to a number which I can actually afford.
1. Ticket to the First Official UK Stitch 'n' Bitch Day.
Wayhey! This sounds so exciting, I can't wait. I have established a "yarn fund" for this event. It operates kind of like a tip jar - I give myself £1 each time I complete one of a list of items. This has been really effective for training myself to renew my public library books on time - usually I end up losing at least £3 for being late. I usually have the maximum 12 books on loan so I get hit with a massive fine.
2. One of The Black Apple's pins.
I love her art but being low on funds I cannot justify buying it just to put up in my scummy student digs. A pin however is an excellent idea. I am far more elegant and tidy than my bedroom, so it would not look out of place. They are not on sale yet, but when they are my debit card will be ready!
3. One month's The Sampler subscription.
It is astounding that I haven't bought this already! If you haven't heard of The Sampler, where have you been? A subscription gets you a box per month of sample products from a range of indie designers and producers. They have recently also started producing The Sampler Select boxes, which feature larger products around a specific theme. The first of these to start was based on the theme of Home, which I was very excited by but it went on sale last week so I probably will not be able to order one before they sell out. I am hoping to get next month's Sampler because it will be October which might mean some Halloween/Goth stuff!
4. A new umbrella.
I am still carrying around a Looney Tunes one that likes to break in half sometimes. Thankfully it has not had to come out of my bag yet.
But I think I have found the next one. Polka dots! Ruffles! RED! It's not as sophisticated as my perfect umbrella would be, but I have long given up on the idea of having only one umbrella. I live in Britain. It rains a lot. I am a stylish person, I believe. It makes no sense that I have stuck with one umbrella for so long.
5. A copy of Domiknitrix.
I mentioned this before, but I need it now so that I have awesome things to knit with all the yarn I am going to buy at the Official UK Stitch 'n' Bitch. It is a really lovely book. When I saw it online I was a bit wary of the whole "knitting dominatrix" theme, but it really works and even if it didn't, the patterns are so gorgeous I would have to forgive it.

A quick apology to anyone who has missed me during my eleven days posting absence from the blogosphere. Arielle, my computer, stopped working several days ago and I have been house-hunting and therefore unable to spend enough time in the library to write anything. Woe.
I move out on Friday, probably back into my parents' house, which is where I am at the moment with the vast majority of my belongings. After that normal service will continue - I will be either at my parents house with a working computer or at my own new house with Arielle Mark II. My dad has decided that Ari needs serious upgradings to the point that I am effectively getting a new computer, hence the Mark II.
