Art College Fashion Report:: Weeks Three to Nine

I have been a bad blogger, failing to keep up with my own themes! There are a multitude of different excuses I could give you; one week I saw nothing cool, another was reading week so I didn't actually go to university, most were too busy for looking about, and last week I was in Devon on a creative writing course! But I will not elaborate on those! Instead I shall share my favourites from the last six weeks:

The Goth

Seriously, there has been an invasion!

There was a hot boy at the train station. Week seven, I think. He wore black trousers (I think they were cords, but he was moving past so I didn't get that much of a look), a blue-green velvet jacket and a green cap. He also had eyeliner (drool) and a lip ring (maybe drool. Sometimes I think they look cool but they might be strange when kissing, and kissing should always be a priority over aesthetics).

Striped tights/stockings are not just for mallgoths/mini-moshers anymore! I wore my black and purple stripy tights the week of Halloween, and then the next week, I saw three people wearing them! Black and red, black and blue, and black and white! I am such a trendsetter. It wasn't a trend-of-the-week, either, I keep catching glimpses of striped legs in crowded hallways, and loads more people are wearing stripy socks, too!

The Questionable

There is one particular girl that I keep seeing with thick eyeliner below her eye. It isn't balanced; the eyeliner on her top eyelid is quite thin. I am not sure whether I like it or hate it. It's too thick to make her look tired- it covers up any bags she might have, it's that thick - but I'm repelled by the strangeness. I might get used to seeing it eventually!

This Season's Obsession

Ribbed over-the-knee socks! Seriously, these are everywhere. Some women (who apparently lack nerve endings in their thighs) have been wearing them alone with short skirts, but I see them worn most often over tights. They look incredibly cute and I love them. It is a shame I do not have any of my own. I have seen them worn most often with skirts and dresses that come to just above the knee, but I did see one girl wearing them with shorts, which looked really lovely.

I am looking forward and hoping to see more interesting clothes next week!
